My current linux desktop. It's Point Linux 3.0 with MATE 1.8.1 and Ambiant-Mate theme and Marco windows manager. There are few nice tweaks i've made:
- Panel backgroud has now by default this nice gradient, and panel buttons in windows list are now square.
- I've polished lightdm-gtk theme, but unfortunately i can't make screenshot of my tweaks :-/
There is this trick to make Marco to show shadow under panels and windows after login. First you have to go to system->preferences->windows and make Marco to be your compositing manager. Then go to system->preferences->startup applications and add new entry (click „add”):
name: marco --replace
command: marco --replace
and save it.
Now after rebooting or login out and in again, Marco draw shadows under your panels and windows automatically.
