Arbeit Macbuntu - v1.0.1

It' released !!


Theme is using Murrine engine (latest for Maverick Meerkat or from the Git), Aurora engine and of course Pixmap (but i think every distro has Pixmap by default).

It's very macish, so if you don't like OS X style themes just don't download ;-) there is no obligation.

-It is using metacity and a little bit modified icons from Macbuntu.
-Toolbar separators are invisible.
-Notebook are made with Murrine (because every attempt to make them look good in pixmap failed) (sorry for bad english)
-Entries and Combobox entries are made with Aurora. Also Trees are made with aurora.

Theme uses metacity, icons and some of graphic from Macbuntu so credits goes to it's creator Bagley. Theme is also using some of the code from eGtk so credits goes to DanRabbit and to Seahorsepip (for great view-mode-button). Last but not least credits goes to Timorei who solved a nasty bug in gedit, thank you Timorei!

::Important::
Theme was designed to use with Global-menu-applet and Nautilus-elementary. Theme looks good even without global menu, but i have not tested it yet with regular nautilus.


::Instalation::
-unpack "Arbeit Macbuntu Theme.zip" - there will be "Arbeit Macbunut.tar.gz", "arbeit-macbuntu-icons.tar.gz" and "Panel backgrounds" folder.

-To install icons, grab "arbeit-macbuntu-icons.tar.gz" and drag-and-drop it to your theme manager.
Or
You can unpack this package and copy "arbeit-macbuntu-icons" folder to your ".icons" folder (it is hidden in your user folder)

-To install theme do as i've said before: drag-and-drop "Arbeit Macbuntu.tar.gz" to theme manager, or unpack it and copy to ".themes" folder (also hidden in your user folder"


::Panels::
-Panel backgrounds are in folder "Panel backgrounds" ;-) If you want to use them, right click on your panel, go to properties and change panel background to one of those in folder.

Thank you :-) If you're using Ubuntu then just type "Aurora" in software center or synaptic manager. Unfortunately i don't know how to do it in other distros.

Spoko styl.Nie wiem czy Twoja robota ale np przyciski wstecz czy w przód można by złączyć tak koło siebie wydaje mi się że lepszy efekt by to dało ps jakim programem można edytować style gtk?

Dzięki :-) Styl to głównie Macbuntu Bagley'a (polaka zresztą) ale włożone w ramy mojego projektu. Przyciski dałoby się przybliżyć, może nawet złączyć ale wierz mi, nie wyglądałoby to jak w mac'u więc to co jest to optimum tego co na razie potrafię zrobić z przyciskami.

Co do edycji stylu gtk, ja to robię w zwykłym "gedit" ale myślę że pójdzie w każdym edytorze tekstu. Nie ma programu <niestety> który pozwoliłby graficznie edytować style gtk. Na razie to po prostu mozolne wklepywanie komend.

Jeżeli chcesz się pobawić w edycję styli to skopiuj sobie katalog ze stylem który chcesz edytować, usuń plik z głównego katalogu twojego stylu <ma nazwę taką jak twój styl> po czym wejdź w katalog "gtk-2.0" i edytuj plik gtkrc - tam jest cały styl.

No masz rację że wyglądałoby podobniej do maca. Póki co nie da się niestety zrobić takich "podzielonych" przycisków, ale z tego co widziałem to w GNOME 3 będzie taka opcja a wtedy emulacja maca będzie niemal pełna ;-)

Fajny ten styl :-) Jak się nazywa?

Very nice, but indeed it's too Mac. Can you make another version with the button and scrollbar having the same style than what you do for the panel & taskbar?
